That’s the Bride!
The sister-in-law who thinks I am 18. Wahhh…
She requested for blue eye shadow because she was wearing blue and had blue nail polish. In order to prevent a dull look, I applied lime green with aqua blue to create blue-green which looks more refershing. To enhance her young skin and sparkling eyes, I applied only a light layer of blusher. Let there be at least 1 focus on the face and maximum 2. Her skin is rather fair, I had to rescue her pimpled face with concealer which I did pretty well.
To super hide her red pimples, I applied:
1. Concealer
2. Mint adjustor (green) for redness
3. Concealer
4. Pressed powder on pimples
5. Loose powder on whole face
6. Pressed powder (optional)

The mother-in-law

Women above 50 usually have darker skin because of the body’s oxidation process (aging). To brighten up the skin, you can either choose to mix white luminator with your normal foundation. I do not suggest those glitter base foundation because it gives an unnatural look for mature ladies. For very yellow skin, mix a bit of purple base with your foundation.
If you let me choose 3 items in their bags…
A must for mature ladies:
1. Eye liner
2. Eye Brow colour
3. Lip liner/Lipstick
No No… No lip gloss please!

Thanks for your patience for me to come update my blog. This is an article from my upcoming Ebook. Thanks Lani for reminding me to write regularly.

Q: My eyelashes are barely visible. Should I do something to them ?

A: If you prefer synthetic fibre, you can opt for lash extension which is very popular in the market. The down side is that you have to be very careful when you wash the area around your eyes. It is not recommended that we apply mascara on the lashes because removing the mascara (especially water-proof ones) would cause your precious extension and your natural lashes to drop!

The other way which requires a bit of skill on your part is to put on fake lashes. Applying sufficient amount of glue is important and selecting a suitable pair for that occasion is another. A luxurious pair of lashes would match a glamourous look. If can wee too heavy (especially those that you can buy in a pair and off the rack) for some and look rather akward for those with small eyes. Alternatively choose a pair which gives you a natural look. Always trim away any excess at the ends so that your eyes would not look droopy and would fit nicely on the lids. Fit them as close to the lash line as possible. After which gently remove any excess glue and apply eyeliner if you want a dramatic look. I learnt a technique from my school, if you want thicker lashes, you can pile them up. That means you can use 2 pair of natural lashes that are neatly trimmed on the same eye to achieve a similar dramatic effects! I had that for my wedding and for the 1st pair, they kept it at it’s natural length, extending forward. The second pair, she snipped away the extension and made it similar to the length of my natural lashes. So smart of her!
After removing the lashes at the end of the day, you can choose to recycle or just toss them away. Please refrain from using than twice for more natural and lighter fibre. They would not stick after a while. I have seen some friends using the thicker and more plastic lashes more than 5 times. For hygiene purposes I do not recommend that. Use soapy water to remove the glue and pat dry.
